The purpose of the Women's Guild of Community Lutheran Church is to carry out under the leadership of the Pastor, the following programs: Christian Fellowship, Christian Knowledge, and Christian Service. All ladies of the congregation shall be regarded as members of this Guild. All are welcome and encouraged to participate. The Women's Guild holds memberships in Lutheran Women's Missionary League http://www.lwml.org/ of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Lutheran Women's Retreat "Embracing Grace" May 7th & 8th at the Middlebury Inn Sandy Dienst
Again this year, we will be getting together with the ladies of Williamstown Lutheran Church for a relaxing and inspirational retreat at the lovely Middlebury Inn. This year's program, led by ann Eaton and Ruth Stuwe (Of WLC), will be based on a book and video by Liz Curtis Higgs entitled, "Embrace Grace". Some of you may remember Liz as the lady behind the "Bad Girls of the Bible" books that we have used for retreats in the past. Her books are exciting, bunny and truly Bible-based. This programs is sure to inspire us and to be a delightful way to share with our Christian sisters.
The cost for this retreat will be $135 per person, which includes one night's lodging, three delicious meals, plus afternoon Tea and retreat materials. Full details and registration forms will be available next month.
The only additional cost for this retreat is for the book that should be read prior to attending. Therefore, we are taking orders for the books now - Until March 7th - so that you will have plenty of time to read it before May. If you think that you will be attending the retreat (this is not a commitment) and you would like to order your hardcover copy of the book at the discounted group rate of $11, you must place your order no later than March 7th. Please make checks payable to Sandy Dienst and leave them with Kathy in the church office or mail to Sandy (Kathy can give you her mailing address).
